To Meme, or not to Meme

He may not have said it, but I'm sure that's what Shakespeare meant...

misstfied, over at The Cluttered Bubble Memed, and invited, cajoled, sadistically threatened all and sundry to participate, so I did. I did because while it was a Meme, and I have really been Memed out of late, she made it so interesting by adding pictures, which I thought was super cute.

The rules:

If you would like to play, please leave a comment here (within this post) asking me to give you a letter and I will assign you one. Once you receive your assigned letter, think of ten things that you love that begin with that specific letter and post a write-up (on your own blog) about those ten things. Then, whenever someone comments on YOUR list, you in turn give them a letter of their own so that they, too, can play the game and continue the chain if they so wish to do so on their very own blog. Easy, huh? Oh, and to make it even easier, if you do care to play along, feel free to copy and paste the rules I have already written here for you and put them on your own blog instead of writing them all out yourself.

misstfied has given me the letter "R". So let's get a wriggle on (Shakespeare didn't say that, that was my mother), in no particular order:


Ribaldry:
A sense of humour in life is essential, you lose it and you lose life. They say that laughter is good for your health, so laugh and stay healthy. I have a particularly ribald sense of humour, I like the naughty jokes, the rude ones, the fart ones and the ones that make your hair fall out.

Rock 'n' Roll:
Most music actually, I much prefer instrumental, but the old style rock 'n' roll was good, Rap is crap!

Rappel:
"Falling out of helicopters" as we used to say. Long time ago before I had a beer belly. It was "safer" than parachuting, I consider that the sport of fools, I mean, why jump out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft?

Racing:
Motorcycle speedway racing. When I was younger, this was Saturday night, I loved the thrill, the excitement, the smell of ethanol burning. So enraptured was I, that at 18 I tried it for a year in Novice class (spent more time picking up my bike than riding it). Came first once... the other three riders fell off.


Rissoles:
I love rissoles, in fact I love all fried food. I know too much is not good for the health, but fried food has so much variety, and of course, there is that old English favourite - fish 'n' chips.


Rum:
Rum, whisky, liqueurs, cocktails, wines, beer. I like alcoholic beverages (except vodka - can't stand the stuff), not only the imbibing thereof, but the art and customs. Doesn't that rum punch look delicious?
Roquefort Cheese:
I am a cheese person, I love cheese in whatever form, the stronger, riper, tastier the better. Of course, you can't have cheese without good wine (I was trying to figure out how I could wine on the list).

Rifles:
I grew up with firearms. They were my job, my sport and my hobby, this list wouldn't be complete without them. This the Lee Enfield No.4 Mk.1 was my favourite target rifle.

Ratbags:
I love ratbags, kids who have spirit. Not naughty ones, but those whose eyes literally gleam "mischief". Gabriel, is a perfect example of a Ratbag, so is Ellen, my stepdaughter.

Raspberries:
I love raspberries, when I was a kid, fresh from the field, I would gorge myself sick. Today, there is nothing like a bowl of fresh raspberries with icing sugar and whipped cream, an absolutely guaranteed trip to heaven.

This Meme was brought to you at the expense of 3x cups of Brazilian coffee, a glass of pineapple juice and 4x cigarettes, it took 57 minutes in the production, so I hope you like it.
