He has progressed from flies on the wall, chasing my eraser around the desk, and retrieving pigeon feathers from outside, to hunting seriously.
About an hour ago he presented me with one of these, but then took it back to play with it, under the bed, behind the sofa and inside a supermarket bag. I think it was a Sceloporus graciosus gracilis, but one can never be sure presented with a half chewed specimen. His little paws have been blooded, he has passed the feline initiation, he is no longer just a cute little kitten, but a force to be reckoned with...

LOL!! Congrats to your kitten for growing up to take his rightful place in the Animal Kingdom! Such a brave little fellow! He's still your adorable baby-cat, but now that he has achieved his Red Badge of Courage, he's unleashed his Inner Tiger! And watch out world! :D
@SR, I know.... But it's so hard when the kids grow up. Geez, I should be used to it, I've got 11.
LOL, Red badge of Courage, sounds like something out of The Lion king.
Inner tiger... hmmmm, I think he's mkore likely to be a white panther.

btw, welcome to the blog, haven't seen you comment before. Thanks for the visit and the comment.
AV,
They do grow up and life changes. Mine is especially fond of the field mice, doesn't hurt them, prefers to bring them inside for playtime.
I'm sure there is nothing more exciting to a cat than to watch her humans chase a tiny mouse all over the house.
Then there was the little bird . . .

My cat's speciality was cockroaches, and Athens grows them big. They would be presented to me live or half-dead. At least it helped me to get over my cockroach phobia.
@SQ, that's exactly what Meow Meow did, bring it inside to show me, then off to play with it. Hello Kitty was particularly fond of birds, to wake in the morning to a kitchen full of feathers was not strange. She couldn't understand why we growled when she got a hummingbird. We had many around the house all the time. Here in this new place, we don't have them. Pity, they are so beautiful.

@vilges, I don't have a phobia about them, I just go into extermination mode. As of yet, I haven't seen a cockroach in this new place, don't particularly want to either.

He's a good little hunter! It will be interesting to see what other little "presents" he comes up with!!
@Jennifer, yes cats are good at bringing their trophies to show the boss...
